Good Friday/Easter Monday

If my memory serves me right, I don't think Good Friday is a holiday for the kids. T'was a while ago, so things may have changed.

The kids get the same holidays as everybody else, Friday isn't a bank holiday here but Monday is. The wouldn't inform you, they expect you to know.

There is a website that shows school holidays nationally, sadly since a few mods on my PC I cannot find it
But I bet some kind soul will point you in the right direction

If you look on any French calender or diary then it's clearly noted that the Monday is a 'jour ferié (lundi de Pâques)' and so therefore no school.

'Good Friday' does not exist in France - a normal day.

The calendrier for the vacances scolaires will not show jours feriés, but here it is for info (found with a quick Google.fr search ):

Hi there,
I just want to add that our kids are actually going to school on Wednesday 26 March to make up for the bank holiday on Easter Monday. I don't know if this is just our school or if it is national, so you might want to check.

I'd put money on it not being for Easter Monday but for the 9th May or suchlike so they can "faire le pont". Easter is a bank holiday. One of the schools I work in is doing this, the other is doing a Saturday.
