Who is providing the better bundles for both telephone line and broadband.
Also is there a way of finding out if broadband is availabel in my area?
We are currently in the UK but trying to move over early next year

Hi!
Here you can compare different offers.
http://www.ariase.com/
To get the information on what is available locally , get a local number ( IMMOBILIER, Mairie etc. or neighbour ) and enter it. See button in green : Je teste
Normally what internet speeds are available is a question to put to your immobiblier.
Take care - in some cases ( slow speed ) you have to go over " Orange " ( ex France Telecom) , if you choose a different provider. So then it means paying 2 providers.
That is the notions of ligne "dégroupée ou non- dégroupée." Difficult to explain, because the solutions are not always clear cut. Ask the Immobilier!
Yours,

Here's another site
http://www.zoneadsl.com/
You don't need a telephone number (although it's best to have one, and ideally the one in your house you are going to buy) - you can use the post code.
The important thing to establish is can you get broadband. That will depend not only on the Exchange, but how far you are from it.
If you can get broadband you can pick your supplier depending on your needs. You don't have to pay Orange and your ISP unless you want to retain an existing Orange telephone number.
If you can't get broadband, you can find out if WiMax, Wifi, Interent via mobile (the dongle) or satellite are available.
A word of warning. If you ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE broadband, make sure you buy a house where it's available now, or coming soon. There's many folk buy the ideal country pad to find their must-have broadband is not available.
Estate agents are perhaps not the most reliable folk to ask - after all they want to sell to you. Ask the neighbours or the Mairie.
There's lots of other information on this site too if you want to have a wee search about
