At the right hand side you can see the door to the downstairs bedroom. Note the thickness of the wall - about 5 cm! It's like this in the whole house. This leaves us with a huge insulation/soundproofing issue.
Straight ahead are the stairs down to the cellar, and to the left is the entrance to the back-kitchen. We hope to partition off part of this room as a downstairs bathroom and use the rest for soem appliances and storage. |
